The world gets smaller every day, yet the problems seem to grow larger

Be a part of the solution by studying global issues and diplomacy with an international relations major in political science. You'll learn about Latin American politics, Asian history, world religions and much more. Then you can test your diplomacy skills as you compete with students from other colleges at the Model UN Conference.

Everything from world religions to the politics of Russia and Eastern Europe. You'll discover that politics is much more than what leads up to Election Day.

An introductory course designed to develop analytic tools that provide an understanding of complex issues in world politics. You will focus on distinguishing different actors, 互动模式, availability and use of resources and interaction between domestic and external politics as evidenced in East-West, North-South and regional conflicts.

Model UN: Role-playing Diplomacy

Simpson’s 模拟联合国 team regularly wins delegation awards at Midwest 模拟联合国 (MMUN), a diplomacy simulation where students play the role of a nation’s ambassadors. Simpson student participants won 5 delegation awards in 2018. This video captures the excitement at the MMUN conference!
